About George
Being based further North than the rest of the team, George deals with a lot of the bookings for bands on tour from the Midlands up. George works directly with promoters in Hull, Sheffield, Leeds & more. He also designs a lot of show posters and other graphics for our artists, and works on the more major events in the Hammerdown calendar... he also loves a pit!
My Story
George has always been fascinated by music and the music industry as a whole. The first gig he ever attended featured Fearless Vampire Killers, Ashestoangels and Ugly Love at the Tunbridge Wells Forum many years ago. From that point on, he went up and down the country seeing the amazing bands that are out there, big or small. As time went on and he got to experience more and more bands, his love for the heavier side of things developed. One week he'd be at a hardcore show, the next week could be a black metal or metalcore show.
A mutual love of all things heavy then led to him join up with Harry's band 'These Thousand Hills' for a gig out in Germany which is something that he will never, ever forget, fast forward 7 years and he joined Harry and the team at Hammerdown.
A personal highlight for George so far will be going out on tour with Broken Calling and Down to a Deathmatch, that weekend of shows is a memory "I will treasure for the rest of my life." George is looking forward to the many other tours he'll have the opportunity to be a part of for many years to come.
